Ankara Medipol University

Ankara Medipol University was founded in 2018 by the Turkish Health and Education Research Foundation, led by the current Minister of Health, Dr. Fahrettin Koca. It is a complementary university to Istanbul Medipol University in the capital Ankara.

General information about Ankara Medipol University

  • The university has 206 faculty members and more than 2,790 students in various specializations, including more than 350 international students from different nationalities, with Syrian, Palestinian, and Egyptian nationalities being the most prominent.

Research Centers and Hospitals:

  • The university has a number of research centers in the pharmaceutical industries and physiotherapy.
  • The university also includes seven hospitals that are distinguished by their medical excellence at the European and Middle Eastern levels. These are Medipol Mega University, Dental Hospital, Eye Hospital, Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital, IVF Hospital, Vascular Diseases Hospital, and Oncology Hospital.

University Facilities and Equipment

Ankara Medipol University has a single campus in the Altındağ district.

There are seven public universities in Ankara, so there are many university dormitories, both public and private, in many areas of the city. All universities share the public dormitories, and admission is based on conditions determined by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Monthly fees start at $50.

The university has a private dormitory for its students near the university. The dormitory fees start at $2000 for the academic year. It is recommended to get an early university acceptance before the eighth month, as the dormitory vacancies are filled in this month.

In the Yenimahalle district, there are campuses for both Ankara Medipol University (private) and Ankara University of Social Sciences (public). Therefore, there are many university dormitories there, and the dormitory fees range between $100 and $250 per month. The fees vary depending on the number of students in a room, the services provided, and the distance of the dormitory from public transportation stations.

The Altındağ district is considered one of the relatively cheap areas in Ankara, and apartment fees range between $100 and $150 per month.
